Rakesh Yadav (name changed) lives in Manpada slums and used to work for a transport company. His family owned a truck on which he would go for his work trips. During one of these trips he contracted the HIV/AIDS. Once detected, our volunteers met him and counselled him and his wife, who too had contracted the disease. Today Girish is gainfully employed with a interior designer firm. His wife, who was illiterate, has learned to read and write and is working in a school. Rakesh and his wife are both volunteers at our HIV project, caring for others and bringing hope to them.
